Urgent Prayer Needed for Imprisoned Pakistani Christian Zafar Bhatti

URGENT PRAYER NEEDED:

Pray for the Immediate Release of Imprisoned

Pakistani Christian Zafar Bhatti

Dear Praying Friends,

This week, your prayers are urgently needed for imprisoned Christian Zafar Bhatti. He has a very real chance of being released on bail!

Over the last several years, Zafar has battled one health problem after another while sitting on death row in Adiala Jail’s blasphemy ward. His latest battle with end-stage congestive heart failure has placed his life in grave danger.

Because of your generous donations, we were able to deliver life-saving medicine and nutritious food to Zafar behind bars. Thank you!

Now it’s time to bring Zafar home!

On May 7th, Saif ul Maluk, Zafar’s lawyer (who also successfully defended and overturned Asia Bibi’s death sentence), presented his case before the Lahore High Court for Zafar’s bail. He included statements from hospital doctors that Zafar should be released from prison due to his rapidly declining medical condition, as he is “incurable.”

Zafar’s lawyer, Maluk, shared with us that he feels optimistic that Zafar will be granted bail based on medical grounds.

The next few days are crucial.

There is nothing that Zafar wants more than to live out his remaining days surrounded by the love and care of his wife, Nawab, and his Christian family.

Please join me today in praying for Zafar’s release.

  • Pray that the Lord would give the judge courage to rule justly and with mercy, granting Zafar bail.
  • Pray that Zafar, his wife Nawab, attorney Maluk, and the ruling judge would be surrounded by God’s protection against any Islamic extremists seeking revenge.
  • Pray that Zafar would enjoy a long and joyful season in freedom.

Together, our prayers can make a big difference in bringing Zafar safely home.

Thank you for caring!

Together in His ministry,
