The Cost of Following Christ
Families of Imprisoned Christians Need Our Support
Today in Iran, Christians continue to suffer severe persecution and imprisonment simply for following Jesus. Since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, millions of disillusioned Muslims have quietly turned to Christ, fueling a hidden but powerful revival across the country.
One courageous example is Pastor Hossein Soodmand, the only Iranian pastor officially executed by the state for apostasy. His unwavering faith in the face of death has become a powerful symbol of hope, inspiring a new generation of Christian leaders who continue to serve despite constant threats of arrest, torture, and even martyrdom.
But the cost of discipleship doesn’t end with the believer—it falls heavily on their families. When a Christian is imprisoned or executed, spouses are left without partners, children without parents, and families without their primary provider. These loved ones are often left to grieve in silence, struggle in isolation, and endure social and governmental hostility.
The story of Pastor Soodmand (featured in the newsletter above) is not just a memory from the past—it is the reality of today’s Church in Iran. And the need for prayer, compassion, and tangible support has never been more urgent.
Will you stand with us in bringing hope and help to our suffering family in Christ in Iran?
Reaching the ‘Unreachable’ with ICNET.TV
In places where the Gospel is restricted and churches are forced underground, satellite television has become a lifeline of truth and hope. Through ICNET.TV’s Christian programming and dedicated prayer lines, Muslims are meeting Jesus, and isolated believers are being spiritually nourished in regions where open fellowship is impossible.
In Iran—where Christianity is heavily suppressed—the need for sound biblical teaching and access to Scripture is critical. Every month, ICNET receives around 150 Bible requests from inside Iran. These men and women, hidden behind walls of fear and isolation, are seeking the truth—and we have the opportunity to place the Word of God directly into their hands.
Will you also join us in reaching the spiritually wounded and searching hearts in Iran—with the eternal message of Jesus Christ?
Together, we can support persecuted families, strengthen underground believers, and proclaim the Gospel in places where it’s needed most.
